Ki ora koutou!
I am very excited to announce I have joined the New Zealand Red Cross Dragon Boat team for March 2018! I have never done dragon boating before but thought what an excellent opportunity to challenge myself (eeeeeek) !!!
While with your support, raising money for the New Zealand Red Cross!!!
They do such amazing work in Aotearoa and our community here in Wellington which I see on a daily basis as a Nurse at Newtown Union. The support for our new and current Refugees is invaluable!! And offers such a welcome into our community we can be proud of.
I'm making a difference by fundraising for a cause that's close to my heart.
Please support my efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support. Every little bit helps!
$20 for example could go towards 'meals on wheels' which delivers 50,000 meals a year to the elderly and isolated just in Wellington alone.!
Or $6,175 would pay for a new Community AED station which could save someones life.

New Zealand Red Cross
New Zealand Red Cross is many things to many people – a hot meal, a safe drive to the hospital, going door-to-door after a disaster, a good start for refugees or knowledge that our aid workers are helping overseas in true Kiwi style.
We have been helping Kiwis for the past 100 years with our many services: refugee resettlement, disaster relief and preparedness, first aid training for adults and children, Christchurch recovery, teaching humanitarian laws to teenagers and community support programmes such as Meal on Wheels and Community Transport. Overseas, Red Cross is at the forefront of emergency response to disasters: first aid to injured people and first aid training in the Pacific, relief items (food, shelter) and Kiwi aid workers.
